Frequently Asked Questions
- How big are your boats?
We have two boats, one is 33ft long with two engines (so we can reach the closest
reefs in five minutes and the closest wrecks in 25 minutes) and the other is 26ft
long (used for small group trips)
- How many divers per boat?
We don’t take more than eight divers per boat so everyone has enough space on the
boat and the trips are safe, fast and enjoyable.
- What is the water temperature?
The average year-round water temperature is on average between 84F and 86F but in
the winter months it is 76F.
- Do you have NITROX?
No, none of the dive shops in Isla Mujeres provide NITROX.
- What kind of wetsuit do we need?
A short 3mm wetsuit.
- Can we store our scuba diving equipment at Carey Dive Center?
Yes, you are welcome to store your dive equipment at our shop during your stay.
We have fresh water gear rinsing facilities and also lockers for personal belongings

to give you the best quality service.
- Do you offer package deals?
Yes, if you let us know how many days you will be diving and the type of dives you
would like to do, we can put together a competitive package deal price for you.
- Do you collect scuba divers from their hotel?
If you are staying at one of the Isla Mujeres hotels on the beach which have their
own dock, we can collect you in one of our boats. But you will need to come to the
shop the day before your dives to arrange equipment rental.
