PADI Rescue Diver Course
Price: $400 USD
Prerequisites:
- A PADI Advanced Open Water Diver or Junior Advanced Open Water Diver certification
(or qualifying certification from another organization)
- Minimum age 15 years
- Minimum age 12 years for Junior Rescue Diver and must dive with either a PADI professional
a parent or legal guardian)
- Must have logged proof of 20 or more logged dives
- Current First Aid certificate (we can arrange this)
Course Description: "Challenging" and "Rewarding" best describe the PADI
Rescue Diver course. Building upon what you have already learned, this course expands
on what you already know about how to prevent problems, and how to manage them if
they occur.
The PADI Rescue Diver course is a crucial step in your diving education and is highly
recommended to all divers. It's a transitional stage in your diving education where
you move beyond just diving for fun by expanding your knowledge of some of the more
technical aspects of diving as well as learning rescue and emergency skills. Throughout
the 3 days you will come to appreciate and understand the importance of this training
relevant to diver safety and incident minimization and management.
The knowledge and skills you get in the Rescue Diver course include:
- Self rescue
- Recognizing and managing stress in other divers
- Emergency management and equipment
- Rescuing panicked divers
- Rescuing unresponsive divers
PADI Rescue Diver program includes:
- scuba gear, manual and certification papers
- all boat and shore dives
- 3 days with PADI Instructor
